O-Goshi

O-Goshi is an easy hip throw to learn. Grab uke around the waist. Turn in, slipping your hip across uke’s body. Lift using your legs to get the power!

How to throw with O-Goshi

1. Pull uke onto tip toes, to bring them off balance.
2. As you turn in, let go of your grip on the collar and grab around uke’s waist.
3. Lift using your legs and finish the throw rotating uke onto their back.
